Test.
Installed debian (the 2.4 kernel) successfully on two computers, CyberMax in Thompson 1018 and the older Dell notebook from Victoria.
About the Dell notebook:
boot /dev/hda1
swap /dev/hda5
root /dev/hda6
usr /dev/hda7
home /dev/hda8
NeoMagic monitor, VR 50-70, DefaultDisplay 16, up to 1024x768, include 'options "no_accel"' in XF86Config-4
Mouse is /dev/psaux, PS/2
Network card is 3c575, address is 0x100, IRQ 11.
Have installed wine
This computer had serious hard drive problems with the previous install (maybe it was ext3?)
